The water of swimming pools is disinfected with chemicals of ADR class 8. A common way is chlorine disinfection by sodium hypochlorite (chlorine bleach lye) with the addition of an acid (sulfuric acid). These chemicals are hazardous and, if used carelessly, can pose a risk to employees, the environment but also to fire safety. Storage of these substances therefore requires a careful approach.
